  • Mia Behrens (she/her)

    PRESIDENT
    mrb2288@tc.columbia.edu

Mia Behrens is a second year student in the Social-Organizational Psychology M.A. Program. Mia started her professional career at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as a clinical research coordinator in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences working on meaning-centered research studies. With a desire to expand meaning-centered research and application, Mia began exploring ways that purpose could be found on a broader scale in the workplace. This led her to the study of organizational psychology, entering the S-OP program with a strong interest in leadership research and eager to explore the impact that good leaders can have on their employees' ability to find meaning in their work. This past year, Mia is interning at Summit Leadership Partners, a management consulting firm that focuses on leadership advisory. Outside of work, school, and OHDCC, Mia stays very active: running, biking, playing tennis, skiing - you name it, and she loves exploring all of the different food NYC has to offer.

Sarah J. Brazaitis, Ph.D.

OHDCC FACULTY ADVISOR

Sarah has enjoyed serving as OHDCC’s faculty advisor for over a decade and has marveled at OHDCC’s transformation from a nascent group sponsoring a handful of offerings to a high performing team designing and implementing dozens of training workshops, professional panels, social gatherings, mentoring and networking events and an annual human capital case competition. Sarah’s favorite part of advising OHDCC is working closely with its leaders. They are unceasingly energetic, dedicated, creative, smart, thoughtful and also, fun. OHDCC is in the top three of Sarah’s most beloved teams, bested only by her family – Buddy, Javier & Mateo – and the New York Yankees.
