Mentorship Program

Graduate school can be challenging, and it helps to receive personal guidance from someone who has been in your shoes. The OHDCC Mentorship Program is an opportunity for students to partner with someone who is farther along in their career and to build stronger networks as they progress through the graduate school experience. In the program, first-year mentees will be paired with second-year mentors who in turn will be paired with a TC alumnus who has already embarked on their post-grad career. The Mentorship Program is only available to current OHDCC members and members will be notified via email when the application period has opened.

Professional Development

A hallmark of the OHDCC yearly programming is professional development opportunities that allow our members to prepare for their post-graduate careers. Past events have included preparation for TC career fairs, internship and job search panels, and workshops on recruiting and interviews. Additionally, the OHDCC holds an annual Human Capital Case Competition in which student teams are invited to present solutions to real-life human capital challenges. Because the presentations are given to a panel of TC alumni in corporate and consulting roles, participation in the Competition is an opportunity to network, as well as to sharpen your consulting skills.

Learning Opportunities & Community Building

Beyond professional development, OHDCC provides opportunities to learn and connect with fellow members. Monthly happy hours allow students to meet up in an informal setting, while workshops and panels allow for education and discussion on topics such as DEI learning and leadership, program progression, and community participation.
